silk installation

Hand-dyed, pleated natural silk georgette installation with embroidered chain and freshwater pearl on eco ink printed layer. 134cm x 261cm

Ether explores an in-between state. Playing with cyclic visibility and suspense, the silk alternates between hiding and revealing. Freshwater pearls fall from the top eye, passing the drawn fabric suspended across the draped silk. An attempt to find peace in melancholy.

Showing at ‘Echolocation’ solo show at PUBLIC Gallery. Exhibition runs Thursday 5th September – Saturday 28th September
