Dust Tapestry
Hand embroidered tapestry
Created for Echolocation solo exhibition at Public Gallery, London
Dust is an exploration of form and alignment. Shaped by bodily lines, shallow curves become the landscape. Pollen and dust scatter, slowly settling across the scene to soften the balance of the organic geometry.
The embroidery continues to disrupt the clarity of the curved lines, with an emphasis on layered, powdery gradients and blurred edges. Layered floral sequins and miniature chain appliqué complete the symmetry at opposing ends of the tapestry.
